partly because they have their own style, the balinese massage and partly because it's super accessible on the most affordable end of the spectrum massages can be between about $7-12 usd at that rate you could basically have a day-long massage for about the cost of an hour long massage other places in the world our budget pick was the ayung spa at the fourteen roses hotel, in legian
we found this little gem on our last visit to bali and couldn't wait to go there again you can get an hour long, balinese massage in this gorgeous, open-air spa for just $7 usd! now a balinese massage is like a relaxation massage that also involves stretching and quick snaps off the tips of your fingers and toes let me tell you, it's magical!
so what are you getting done today? i'm having a cream bath which is something i've never heard of anywhere else but in bali and they do this kind of amazing scalp massage with all this coconut oil conditioner and then you also get your arms massaged it's amazing! so how was the cream bath? so relaxing!
if you like when people play with your hair or going to the hairdresser perfect treatment for you a step up from our budget massage was to go to the spa at our own hotel maison at c it will run you a little more money a balinese massage here was about $20 usd but it came with some gorgeous decor
and we didn't have to go anywhere now many hotels and resorts in bali have their own spa facilities and this can be super convenient if you've planned a down-day by the pool just to chill out karma spa - because bali is so affordable it makes expensive things a little more attainable like a super high-end spa experience now we travelled the furthest to get to this one
but bundled it with a few other activities in the area it's also our most expensive splurge at about $85 usd per person which is still pretty affordable but the stunning cliff views and the waves outside the fale were out of a dream though the massage, the staff, the surrounds were all spectacular and they gave us delightful little snacks
before and after now this was the only spa that asked us if we had any particular areas that we wanted them to focus on and as jess said, the only one with refreshments so that's it for the video for all the different spa experiences in bali let us know in the comments below which one you would pick as your favourite
