kuta beach bali, we are going to the beach when you are in ubud i advise you to go to gili's island gili is not anymore bali
it's just near by there is 3 of them the biggest one which is more festive the average one where it's between leisure and festive the last one, the one that i will talk about who's name gili meno robinson crusoe style it's a tiny island i think in 1 hour you go around on foot
no cars but horse drawn carriage like 1 century here during the night there is no light (outside) so we can really see the stars you are "lost" in the middle of the ocean it's wonderful ! to go to gili meno i advise you to go through "marina srikandi" company
a fast boat company it will take 1 hour one way and return for about 40 euros per person by memory i did my research over all the offers there is a lot of american company's who offers prices as high as 100 euros so i was really happy with the company that i found the boat was relatively new very fast you'll see, it's jarring
they even put littles bag in case of seasickness but it went ok the boat don't bring you on gili meno but on the average one after you'll have to negotiate with a fishing boat's owner who will bring you in 10 minutes to gili meno island it's give you a real feeling of authenticity, i had love doing that once you arrived on gili meno, i tried "kontiki cottages" hotel it's rustic style near by the beach
all in wood with inside a big bed with a mosquito net for 34 euros per night so really cheap you also get your deckchair on the beach gili meno is very idyllic and you'll get the sensation to be shut out with the world the common activity is of course to snorkel you are going to be amazed ! let's go back to bali
to the beach on the south part of the island the first time i went to bali i stayed on bukit peninsula in tanjung benoa i don't advise you to go there why ? because it's very artificial it's literally an artificial area that have been created with only hotels no balinese if there was before it's not authentic at all !
now it's very relaxing there is no waves very calm a lot of families are going there hotels are quite expensive i tried "novotel bali benoa" 4 stars, i didn't stay too long because it was expensive but the customer care was very good the hotel was really beautiful, rooms too
swimming pools and beach also but it's not the place i will advice if you to enjoy the sea the town that i recommend by the beach it's seminyak seminyak because there is a lot to do at the same time relax and enjoy a beautiful scenery i went to " amadea resort & villas" prices were quite good
i think it was 400 euros for 9 nights low price 3 or 4 stars hotel you get a nice swimming pool rooms are not big (for this price) really nice and clean you're not far from the beach i recommend this hotel a company that i would recommend to go through in order to make a journey
is "baliblisstour" who, for instance, propose uluwatu temple journey you're off in early afternoon to go to a little creek to end to watch the sunset at uluwatu temple and after a traditional danse fire show ( and a dinner in jimbaran !) in seminyak you have to try to surf ! for 3 euros per day you'll get a surf to practice all the surf renters on the beach knows how to surf and can give you surf lessons
there is also companies who sell surf lessons but all these balinese who know very well to surf because they surf since there are born to satisfy your stomach i am recommending you 3 restaurants in seminyak there is an abundance of restaurants and very good restaurants it's famous for gastronomic restaurants i didn't try one of these but if you did don't hesitate to share it below the first restaurant's name is "sate bali" it's very tasty
it's open sky with a chief who prepares different local specialities that you can choose. they are in big banana leaf and he will prepare it directly in front of you on a grill very tasty and the price is very good compare to other restaurant over there a more expensive restaurant from asia call "ginger moon" it's in the city center on the main street the background is very nice i tasted nice asian specialities that i never have the occasion to try before i recommend it even if it's a little more expensive
the last one, beware "wacko burger cafe" you will eat the best burger of your life i assure you of this if you tried this burger and it was not the best burger of your life, tell me now but for me it was the most extraordinary ! even the french fries were outstanding i don't usually eat burger all the time but this time i went for lunch and dinner the same day and the day after wacko burger cafe ! run for it ! we've finished with bali chapter and next time i'll bring you to amsterdam i hope these videos pleased you and gave you a lot of advices for your future trips
